GSDH Gas Barrier and Containment Seal

Metal bellows containment seals, such as the GSDH Series, are intended for high-temperature hydrocarbons, heat transfer fluids and other fluids that exceed the temperature tolerance of elastomers. The API 682 Type C, Arrangement 2 standards are fully met by GSDH Gas Barrier and Containment Seal.

Benefit

1. The GSDH Gas Barrier and Containment Seal, used as a dry running containment seal or as a full process conditions backup seal, contributes to meeting the most stringent emissions regulations when combined with a conventional inboard seal such as BXHHS or BXRH seals.
2. When compared to liquid buffer or barrier fluid dual seals, low pressure steam or nitrogen purge gas is all that is required to achieve nearly zero emissions and simplify maintenance.
3. Bellows rotation helps to clean convolutions and stop debris accumulation.
4. Hydropad seal face technology improves seal face lubrication even when dry gas is present at the faces.
5. Flexible graphite secondary seals are chemically compatible at temperatures ranging from -73 to 427°C (-100 to 800°F).
