Construction

The Alfa Laval LKC-2 non-return valve consists of upper and lower valve bodies, valve plugs, seal rings, and guide discs. A clamp holds the valve body in place, and a specific seal ring keeps it hygienically sealed. An O-ring-sealed, spring-loaded valve plug is guided by a disk and four legs. LKC-2 can be fitted with ISO or DIN welding ends.

Working Principle

The valve remains closed due to the spring’s action on the valve plug until the force of the incoming pressure exceeds the spring’s force. The valve will remain closed in the event of reverse flow due to the combined efforts of the spring and outlet pressure.
