Alfa Laval LKH Series Centrifugal Pump

The Alfa Laval LKH Series Centrifugal Pumps is a high-efficiency, chemically resistant pump designed for gentle product treatment. It features a premium motor and semi-open impeller, facilitating process transfer and minimizing recirculation. The pump is precision-engineered for productivity and energy efficiency, making it ideal for hygienic applications in dairy, food, beverage, and personal care industries. It meets international standards for process hygiene and reduces capital investment. Available in 13 sizes, it can handle flow rates up to 500 m3/h and differential pressures up to 11 bar at 50 Hz.

Alfa Laval LKH Series Centrifugal Pumps Application

  1. Precision-engineered pump and motor for high energy efficiency and gentle product treatment.
  2. Lower energy consumption compared to premium and mid-range pumps.
  3.  Hygienic design with controlled compression gaskets, crevice-free interior and optimized impeller.
  4.  Easy maintenance with placement of shaft seal outside the pump and front-loading design.
  5.  Interchangeable single, single flushed, and double seals simplify spare parts inventory.
  6.  Three-year warranty for all non-wearing parts, provided genuine parts are used.

The LKH pump features steel components like pump casing, impeller, nut, and backplate, all made of W. 1.4404 (AISI 316L). It has a stainless steel shroud, four adjustable legs, and a compression coupling for precision alignment. The semi-open impeller with a vane design ensures efficient handling of product. The pump comes with a single mechanical shaft seal, which is quick, easy, and inexpensive to replace. Its balanced design minimizes seal opening during pressure shocks.

The LKH centrifugal pump operates by rotating the impeller on a shaft, transferring rotational energy to the fluid passing through the pump. The centrifugal force increases the fluid’s kinetic energy, velocity, and pressure, directing it towards the pump outlet. Available in 13 sizes, it can handle capacities up to 500 m3/hour and pressures up to 11 bar at 50 Hz.
