The Alfa Laval GJ A2 Rotary Jet Head Tank Cleaning product line offers tank cleaning devices that deliver powerful, efficient, hygienic cleaning for companies within the food, beverage, and personal care industries. They are ideal for retrofit applications to replace resource-heavy static spray balls and costly manual cleaning. Features of the GJ A2 Rotary Jet Head Tank Cleaning include self-cleaning and self-draining capabilities and the ability to clean tanks through openings as small as a 5cm (2 inches).
Focused on product development and engineering, the operations team at Alfa Laval is dedicated to evolving their product line and improving upon existing machines. The Alfa Laval GJ A2 was created as a solution for pharmaceutical cleaning needs, but works cohesively in any sanitary environment. Self-cleaning, self-flushing, and self-lubricating, the machine requires no oil or grease in the gear train and can withstand higher flow rates, resulting in higher impact cleaning. It is also resistant to deionized water—all while maintaining a longer shelf life than its prototype.
Capable of both permanent and portable installation, the GJ A2 Rotary Jet Head Tank Cleaning is ideal for effective cleaning of small tanks, up to ten inches in diameter, in a repeatable and reliable 360° pattern. Like other Gamajet tank cleaning machines, the GJ A2 is entirely fluid-driven with no external motors, therefore eliminating the need for power assistance.
Processed Foods, Dairy, Beverages, Brewery, Home & Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Chemical
The high-impact jet stream from the rotating jet head covers the whole 360-degree surface of the tank inside in an increasingly dense pattern. This generates a big mechanical effect while using minimum water and cleaning products. The movement of the cleaning fluid causes the nozzles to rotate in a synchronized manner around both the vertical and horizontal axes. During the first cycle, the nozzles form a patterned pattern on the tank surface. The pattern’s density is gradually increased in subsequent cycles until it is completely cleaned. After completing the entire cleaning procedure, the machine will restart and conduct the next full cleaning pattern.
The Alfa Laval GJ A2 is designed for removing residues from sanitary tanks in a variety of industries, including dairy, brewing, beverage, food, and personal care. The Alfa Laval GJ A2’s slim design makes it ideal for retrofitting spray balls, lowering Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) costs and cleaning time.
The choice of nozzle diameters can optimize jet impact length and flow rate at the desired pressure. As standard documentation, the Alfa Laval GJ A2 can be supplied with a “Declaration of Conformity” for material specifications.

The Alfa Laval GJ A tank cleaning devices are part of our highly acclaimed Gamajet product range. Alfa Laval technology combines pressure and flow to create high-impact cleaning jets that are precision-engineered to rotate in a precise, repeatable, and reliable 360-degree pattern.
The unique design reduces your cost to clean and environmental footprint by minimizing the amount of water, energy, and cleaning agents required to clean tanks. Using high-impact jet cleaning instead of traditional ineffective static spray balls reduces waste and resource consumption.
