The Alfa Laval GJ PF tank cleaning machine is specifically engineered to offer the most efficient and effective cleaning for vessels with capacities of 5,000 to 25,000 gallons. The durable machine offers optimal cleaning at a variety of pressures and flows.
The sanitary design of the Alfa Laval GJ PF makes it ideal for use in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries, for both portable and permanent applications. The standard machine is self-cleaning, self-flushing, and self-lubricating, requiring no oil or grease in the gear train. However, a grease-lubricated version is available as an option. All components of the PowerFlex are made from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliant materials.

High-impact, low-resource cleaning
The high-impact jet stream from the rotary jet head is preprogrammed to cover the inside of the tank in a continually denser pattern. This achieves a powerful mechanical impact with a low volume of water, acid or caustic. Most of the GJ rotary jet heads are capable of operating at both high and low pressures.
Smoother, long-lasting performance
The Alfa Laval GJ range includes a unique, grease-lubricated gear to ensure that potentially damaging particles are not trapped in the gear during CIP recirculation. This innovative design ensures a smoother performance and reduces wear and tear.
Energy-efficient design
A faster tank cleaning cycle also cuts energy consumption. Cleaning fluid flows through the nozzles in an automated, geared rotation around the vertical and horizontal axes. In the first cycle, the nozzles lay out a coarse pattern on the tank surface, with subsequent cycles progressively densifying the pattern over the course of eight cycles.

Ultra Sanitary Design
Designed with ergonomics in mind, the Alfa Laval GJ 8 provides the same high impact clean as traditional, larger tank cleaners but is lighter, shorter, and narrower. This device is part of the world-renowned Gamajet range of high impact tank cleaning devices and is the perfect alternative to heavy impingement cleaners, time-intensive spray balls, and costly manual tank cleaning. Compact and efficient, the Alfa Laval GJ 8 allows for space saving, while maintaining the impact, durability, and range required for optimal impingement tank cleaning. This device is fluid-driven, eliminating the need for power assistance and is ideal for cleaning stubborn residues in large tanks in a variety of industries such as ethanol, paper, pulp, chemical, steel, industrial fermentation, and applications requiring high impact cleaning.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The Gamajet range of high impact tank cleaning devices combine pressure and flow to create high impact cleaning jets. Cleaning occurs at the point at which the concentrated stream impacts the surface. This impact, and the tangential force that radiates from that point, blasts contaminants from the surface, scouring the tank interior. In conjunction with this impact, the device is engineered to rotate in a precise, repeatable, and reliable 360° pattern. This full-coverage, global indexing pattern ensures the entire tank interior is cleaned, every time.
STANDARD DESIGN
The choice of nozzle diameters can optimize jet impact length and flow rate at the desired pressure. As standard documentation, the Alfa Laval GJ 8 can be supplied with a “Declaration of Conformity” for material specifications.
OPTIONS
Electronic rotation sensor to verify 3-D coverage.
Caution: Do not use for gas evacuation or air dispersion.
CLEANING PATTERN
The above drawings show the cleaning pattern achieved on a cylindrical horizontal vessel. The difference between the first cycle and the full pattern represents the number of additional cycles available to increase the density of the cleaning.

A quality product
The Alfa Laval GJ tank cleaning devices are part of our highly acclaimed Gamajet product range. Alfa Laval technology combines pressure and flow to create high impact cleaning jets that are precision engineered to rotate in a precise, repeatable and reliable 360-degree pattern.
Positive return on investment
The unique design reduces your cost to clean and environmental footprint by minimizing the amount of water, energy and cleaning agents required to clean tanks. Using high-impact jet cleaning instead of traditional ineffective static spray ball reduces waste and resource consumption.
Retrofit old spray ball
Due to the physical size of the Alfa Laval GJ PF, it is now possible to upgrade your cleaning device to a more efficient solution. The low profile Alfa Laval GJ PF fits though a 4” connection, making it possible to install the device into an existing tank top connection.
Validate your tank cleaning process
Alfa Laval Rotacheck validates the rotary jet heads cleaning process, reduces water consumption and product loss. Provides peace of mind.
APPLICATION
The field-proven Alfa Laval GJ PF is part of the world-renowned range of Gamajet high impact tank cleaning devices. It has been proven to provide companies with up to 85% in water, time, energy, and resource savings compared to static spray balls. This device is capable of cleaning tanks with capacities between 5,000 – 25,000 gallons.
The Alfa Laval GJ PF fits through openings as small as four inches and operates at low pressures and flows, cleaning tanks in applications that require high impact cleaning, such as in the ethanol, paper, pulp, chemical, steel, and industrial fermentation industries. By implementing this device into their tank cleaning process, companies spend less time cleaning and more time producing.
