Description: | The SLC Slurry Seal is built tough to withstand the rigors of mining and mineral processing. It’s so tough you can install… |
SLC Series seals are heavy duty single cartridge seals built for the harshest slurry pump services found in mining, mineral and ore processing, and flue gas desulfurization. The SLC Series is designed with a unique non-clogging cone spring that increases seal reliability and enables flushless operation for low operating costs.
Features:
Operating Parameters:
Single cartridge, heavy-duty slurry seal designed to operate in harsh slurry
Single balanced conical washer spring cartridge seal, designed to operate without a flush in tough slurries. No flush increases plant efficiency, reduces operating costs and eliminates product contamination. The seal incorporates a unique non-clogging cone spring design that increases seal reliability.
Single cartridge, heavy-duty slurry seal designed to operate in harsh slurry
Dual balanced cartridge multi-spring pusher seal used in very abrasive applications where corrosive, toxic or volatile liquids are being handled and a single seal is not acceptable. The inner and outer seal faces are interchangeable. Uses a pressurized barrier fluid to prevent process fluid from reaching the atmosphere. The outer seal is shrouded by gland as added safety feature. No bypass or external flush needed. When installed into an open taper bore seal chamber. The seal tolerates pressure reversals. Requires enlarged stuffing box. Based on the SL 6000.
Engineered for applications typical with mineral and ore processing
Double pusher cartridge seal for more hazardous slurry applications
Single, balanced, pusher cartridge seal for slurry applications
A single cartridge seal with a flexible stator design. Rugged primary seal faces of sintered silicon carbide, and a monoblock rotor configuration. Available with a Quench Containment Device (QCD) as an outboard seal that can be run with a low pressure water closed loop barrier system or as a single seal with the Synthetic Lubrication Device (SLD) that requires no other equipment.
Engineered for applications typical with mineral and ore processing
Double pusher cartridge seal for more hazardous slurry applications
Single, balanced, pusher cartridge seal for slurry applications
Used in conjuction with a Flowserve Mechanical seal fitted with QCD, the SLD helps protect the seal faces in dry running slurry applications to improve the equipment’s MTBPM
Primary seal faces are a flexibly mounted stator and monoblock rotor in silicon carbide placed in a tandem arrangement along with a low pressure secondary seal having carbon vs. silicon carbide faces. The secondary seal is engineered to last longer than a QCD when a fluid quench is applied. It can also allow operation of a closed loop fluid system when the secondary seal is fitted with a quench circulating device.
Engineered for applications typical with mineral and ore processing
Double pusher cartridge seal for more hazardous slurry applications
Single, balanced, pusher cartridge seal for slurry applications
Used in conjunction with a Flowserve mechanical seal, the QCD helps quench fluid and protect seal faces in dry running slurry applications to improve equipment’s MTBPM.

Operating Parameters
Pressures to 50 bar (725 psi)
Temperatures from -40°C to 220°C (-40°F to 430°F)
Speeds to 50 m/s (164 fps)
Single, tandem or double, balanced, wavy spring seal, cartridge designed according to DIN 24960 form C
Can be used for the following seal types: Allpac 4 series, Allpace N series, Centipac 1 series, CRO, D series, DHT series, Europac 306, Europac 6 series, FRO, GSD, GSL, HD series, HSC, HSH, LD, P series, Q series, RO, Simpac 3 series, SRO, U series, UHT series, BL, BRC series, BX series, BXH series, BXLS series, BXRH, CBR series, CBS, GSDH, PB, PBR, PBS, PC, X series
Single, tandem or double balanced wavy spring seal cartridge designed according the metric DIN 24960 form C. Each seal face pair uses two 100% identical faces. When used as a double seal the inboard seal is reverse pressurized and therefore very resistant to clogging. This seal is designed specifically for the so-called ‘form C’ part of the DIN standard, and is therefore available only in four sizes.
