PSS 4 Industrial Process Seal

The PSS 4 split seal is simple to install because it only has two major components. It does not involve disassembling the equipment. The pre-assembled, semi-cartridge rotating and fixed sections eliminate the need to measure equipment and handle small, intricate pieces such as gaskets and seal faces. The PSS 4 seal is ideal for a variety of industries, including drinking water, wastewater treatment, power generation and pulp and paper, due to its unique design and increased pressure capability.

  • The fully split design is built around the shaft, outside the seal chamber, eliminating the need to disassemble the equipment for seal installation.
  • The semi-cartridge portions are totally pre-assembled and unitized, making installation even easier.
  • All internal gaskets are secured mechanically, eliminating the need for adhesives.
  • Proprietary 3D key technology ensures perfect seal face alignment in both axial and radial orientations, reducing joint leakage and installation duration.
  • Establishing the tabs aligns the spinning face for optimal joint reassembly while precisely situating the rotor assembly without the need for measurement or marking, ensuring effective installation on the first try every time.
  • The positive-drive rotor is securely fastened with eight set screws, allowing operation at high pressures and fluid viscosities.
  • Sealing faces are driven by direct-drive pins, significantly increasing viscous fluid sealing capability over friction-driven faces.
