Alfa Laval’s Most Powerful Tank Cleaning Machine
ABS offers the largest automated tank cleaner from Alfa Laval, the Alfa Laval Gamajet 4 tank cleaning machine is designed to clean larger-sized tanks with diameters of over 15′ (4.57 m). Developed and upgraded from the proven Gamajet III, the Gamajet 4 is a hydraulically driven rotary tank cleaning machine that revolves 360° in both horizontal and vertical planes. Synchronized solid jets provide a tight and thorough scouring pattern covering all interior tank surfaces in one complete cycle.

The Gamajet 4 is available in stainless steel or silicon bronze with a choice of oil-lubricated or flow-thru (wash fluid lubricated) gearboxes. Gear trains are designed to maximize wear life which offers improved reliability and reduced downtime.

With a choice of twelve nozzle sizes, various hydraulic turbines and stators along with two gear systems, the Gamajet 4 offers a wide operating range of flow rates, nozzle rotation speeds, and wash cycles. The Gamajet 4 is fully capable of high concentration chemical recirculation cleaning or high pressure/low volume water jet scrubbing in fixed CIP automated systems.

The high-impact jet stream from the rotary jet head is preprogrammed to cover the inside of the tank in a continually denser pattern. This achieves a powerful mechanical impact with a low volume of water, acid or caustic. Most of the GJ rotary jet heads are capable of operating at both high and low pressures.

APPLICATION

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The Gamajet range of high impact tank cleaning devices combine pressure and flow to create high impact cleaning jets. Cleaning occurs at the point at which the concentrated stream impacts the surface. This impact, and the tangential force that radiates from that point, blasts contaminants from the surface, scouring the tank interior. In conjunction with this impact, the device is engineered to rotate in a precise, repeatable, and reliable 360° pattern. This full-coverage, global indexing pattern ensures the entire tank interior is cleaned, every time.

STANDARD DESIGN

The choice of nozzle diameters can optimize jet impact length and flow rate at the desired pressure. As standard documentation, the Alfa Laval GJ 4 can be supplied with a “Declaration of Conformity” for material specifications.

Electronic rotation sensor to verify 3-D coverage. 180° and 105° directional versions are available.

105 Degree Directional Cleaning for the Toughest Residues on the Bottom of the Tank

Need to the clean the bottom of a tank fast and effectively? Look no further than the NEW Gamajet Bullet IV for tough, targeted cleaning of sludge, oil, or any type of residual debris that collects at the bottom of large tanks, open-top tanks, process vessels and trailers. The Gamajet Bullet rotates in a tight 105 degree downward pattern, with high impact water jets scouring the bulls eye area of the tank, quickly and effectively cleaning residual heels and difficult debris. Built with durability, strength, and performance in mind, residues don’t stand a chance against this machine.

The Bullet IV features Gamajet’s patented rotary impingement cleaning process. This process optimizes the water or cleaning solution driving the device, providing the maximum force from the jet stream leaving the nozzles and contacting the interior of the tank. The machine then moves the jet streams in a rotational pattern to cover the entire inside of the tank or vessel in a repeatable and reliable manner. Lubrication, Waterside: A controlled amount of the cleaning solution is permitted to flow through the tee and nozzle housing bearings for lubrication and cooling.

Self-Cleaning Provisions: A low-pressure bypass system keeps the bevel gears and other internal parts flushed free of debris that could interfere with proper functioning.

Alfa Laval Gamajet 10 (GJ10)

The Alfa Laval GJ 10 is the only automated tank cleaning machine capable of getting all residual fuel, dirt, and sludge out of underground storage tanks (UST). Designed to fit through standard UST inlets, the new lightweight unit is fluid driven and requires no external power supply to clean any size storage tank. Its powerful 360° rotary jets blast away contaminants and breaks up dirt and sludge that can be conveniently vacuumed away.

The GJ 10 is the only machine small enough to fit into USTs with enough power to clean all of the interior. It easily puts the contaminant-laden sludge into solution that allows for complete liquid extraction and thorough tank cleaning. APPLICATION

The Alfa Laval GJ 10 tank cleaning device fits through a four inch opening and is capable of cleaning a 30,000 gallon underground fuel storage tank with one insertion. This device blasts away contaminants and breaks up dirt and sludge in minutes. The Alfa Laval GJ 10 easily converts the contaminant-laden sludge into a solution which allows for complete liquid extraction and thorough tank cleaning. The device is part of the world-renowned Gamajet range of tank cleaning devices.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The Gamajet range of high impact tank cleaning devices combine pressure and flow to create high impact cleaning jets. Cleaning occurs at the point at which the concentrated stream impacts the surface. It is this impact and the tangential force that radiates from that point which blasts contaminants from the surface, scouring the tank interior. In conjunction with this impact, the device is engineered to rotate in a precise, repeatable and reliable, 360° pattern. This full-coverage, global indexing pattern ensures the entire tank interior is cleaned, every time.

STANDARD DESIGN

The choice of nozzle diameters can optimize jet impact length and flow rate at the desired pressure. As standard documentation, the Alfa Laval GJ 10 can be supplied with a “Declaration of Conformity” for material specifications.

Used in the offshore industry and in petrochemicals and chemical processing industries, the T-82 is grease lubricated and designed to clean tanks in a rough environment, e.g. it is widely used in mud tanks on supply vessels and oil rigs where solid particles are in the cleaning media. TRAX SIMULATION TOOL

TRAX is a unique software that simulates how the Toftejorg TZ-67 performs in a specific tank or vessel. The simulation gives information on wetting intensity, pattern mesh width, and cleaning jet velocity. This information is used to determine the best location of the tank cleaning machine and the correct combination of flow, time, and pressure to implement. A TRAX demo containing different cleaning simulations covering a variety of applications can be used as reference and documentation for tank cleaning applications.
